Through expert speakers, engaging workshops, and discussions that cause us to think differently, the SHIFT conference will challenge the elements of our culture that contributes to violence against women. Attendees will acquire a better understanding of gender-based violence, prevention strategies, as well as best practices to engage boys and men to be a part of the solution to end intimate partner violence.
AMEND Together is a primary prevention initiative dedicated to ending violence against women and girls by engaging men and boys to be a part of the solution. Together, we seek to challenge the culture that supports violence, cultivate healthy masculinity, and change the future for women and girls. AMEND expanded nationally in 2020 to YWCA affiliates in Dayton, OH, Central Virginia (Lynchburg), Greater Memphis, Silicon Valley, CA, Lubbock, TX, Mohawk Valley, NY, and South Hampton Roads, VA. AMEND Together offers programming in more than 20 schools across Metro Nashville Public Schools. Learn more here.
