Burn the Mortgage Campaign Celebrated
Sigourney Cheek and Nicky Weaver led a very successful 12-month fundraising campaign, raising over $2 million to eliminate the debt on the YWCA Weaver Domestic Violence Shelter. The facility is the largest domestic violence shelter in the state of Tennessee. Nationally acclaimed photographer, Dean Dixon, snapped the photo (shown below) which includes many of the over 300 generous donors and is featured on two area billboards. The billboards can be seen on the Church Street Viaduct - outbound and near the Hwy 100/Harding split - outbound.
