Academy for Women of Achievement

If
life's highest calling is to serve others...
...then special honor is due those whose service to others inspires others to serve.

That is why each year the YWCA and its Academy for Women of Achievement honor those whose leadership serves and inspires others to succeed.  Each year, on the night of the AWA ceremony, we pay special tribute to extraordinary leadership in the Nashville area and the continuing legacy of those who have improved our community by inspiring countless individuals' lives.

The Academy for Women of Achievement also recognizes a Middle Tennessee company or organization that has demonstrated a commitment to assist the entry, career advancement and/or working conditions for women employees.  The Corporate Honoree has programs or policies in place that have removed barriers which delay or diminish women's opportunities with measurable results noted.

Proceeds from the Academy for Women of Achievement ceremony fund the programs of the YWCA.
