YWCA Celebrity Auction During CMA Music Fest
Helps Fund Domestic Violence Services

Nashville, TN (June 12, 2012) The 29th Annual YWCA Celebrity Auction brought in an incredible $87,000 on Sunday.  Big Kenny and Rick Marino (95.5 WSMFM) hosted the charity auction along with Chris Cannon of News Channel 5.   Among the top selling items were; Charlie Daniels Framed: Artist-Handwritten & Autographed The Devil Went Down to Georgia lyrics which brought in $3,400, Keith Urban Meet & Greet/Concert Tickets went for $2,700, a Carrie Underwood Autographed Guitar was sold for $2,650 a Tim McGraw Autographed Guitar (with Tim & Faith Basket of Merchandise) brought in $2,500 and Martina McBride’s I’m Gonna Love You Through It lyrics were sold for $1,300.

 “It is so amazing to me that Big Kenny, Rick Marino and Chris Cannon helped us raise close to $90,000 in a few hours.” noted Donna Dant, vice president of development.  “Those dollars will help fund the YWCA’s services to women and children who need counseling, medical care, support or emergency shelter as they flee violent homes,” Dant continued.  “We are also grateful to Joanna Smith, DJ Miller, The McClymotts, Two Foot Fred, Maggie Rose and Deborah Allen who stopped by to help us on stage during the auction.” concluded Dant.

Sponsors included the CMA Music Festival, Carl Black Chevrolet, Jim Stevens Auctions and Belle Meade Framers.
