YWCA GED^® Preparation has started a new class for adults ages 18 and older at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in the Madison area.

“We now have 14 free classes in 4 locations and we are serving about 300 students a week in morning, afternoon, evening or Saturday classes,” explained YWCA Vice President of Programs, Pamela Sessions. “There has been a lot of demand in the Madison area so we are glad to have this new class meeting weekly in that area,” Sessions concluded.

YWCA GED^® Preparation Services are funded by the Tennessee Department of Labor, Dollar General Literacy Foundation and United Way. There are over 80,000 adults in Davidson County who do not have a high school diploma or a GED^®. For more information about our GED^® classes, please call 269-9922.
