GED® Preparation

All YWCA teachers are certified by the State of Tennessee and work with students in a typical classroom setting to improve math, language and reading skills needed to pass the GED® test.
SERVICES OFFERED BY THE GED® PREPARATION PROGRAM INCLUDE:
- Instruction in all areas of the GED® (writing, math, literature, science and social studies)
- Assistance in setting and obtaining educational goals
- Administration of TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) to assess student progress
- Provision of FREE GED® Practice tests
GED® Preparation is partially funded under an agreement with the Department of Labor & Workforce Development, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation and United Way of Metropolitan Nashville.
