Governor Bredesen announced Wednesday, July 14, 2010 that he has commuted Gaile Owens' death penalty sentence to life in prison. Gaile will be eligible for parole in late 2011. The Friends of Gaile committee would like to thank everyone who signed the petition, wrote the Governor and helped spread the word about Gaile’s case. We are so grateful for your support.

Thank you.
