Domestic Violence Service

The YWCA of Nashville is seeking a qualified, energetic individual to provide child care for children of residents living in our temporary shelter facility, on Tuesday - Friday evenings, from 5 - 8 p.m., every other Saturday for 4 hours and for occasional special events.  Qualified candidates will have proven ability to create a safe and creative environment for children and to effectively interact with and engage children in play and interact with their families.  High School diploma or equivalent, one year relevant experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.  See instructions on how to apply below.  EOE.

The YWCA's Part Time Relief Advocate answers our crisis line, giving appropriate responses to callers and provides direct-care services to women and children who are temporarily living in the domestic violence center.  Qualified candidates will have excellent communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and organizational skills; HS diploma and related experience required; Bachelor's preferred; fluency in Spanish a plus.  Must be willing to work at least 30 hours per month, could be more depending on need and availability.
