The YWCA has a
new
opening for an enthusiastic and professional
Special Events Director
to lead the organization's signature and emerging events to ensure fundraising growth and strong financial and volunteer management. Responsibilities include recruitment of committee volunteers, sponsors and event participants, building and managing a volunteer base, providing strategic direction and overseeing all aspects of special events. The Director will manage events from the earliest planning through implementation, evaluation and reporting. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, creative and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years nonprofit experience with proven record of success in a full range of special events. Qualified candidates will have working knowledge of fundraising database management, have the ability to motivate and influence others, and work independently as well as part of a mission-focused team. The YWCA has a great opportunity for a
Vice President of Finance
who will be responsible for oversight of all finance and accounting functions for the YWCA and will serve as a partner to the President/CEO and other members of the senior management team. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the organization has high-quality financial plans, measurement and analysis capabilities, policies, accounting practices, financial processes and controls, and financial systems in place. The VP of Finance interacts extensively with Board members, staff, and external constituencies. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field; Master's preferred; minimum five years of nonprofit fiscal management and operations. Superior problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively are essential. Working knowledge of billing and accounting processes relative to cost reimbursement for governmental billing required. Must have strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting and auditing procedures with a track record of achievement, strong leadership, and successful management. Working knowledge of Great Plains accounting software strongly preferred. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
